Apricale is a romantic mountain village in quiet setting, surrounded by olive groves and woodland. The village invites with a number of restaurants serving excellent Ligurian cuisine, a few bars and has a food shop, a pharmacy and a post office. Throughout the year, Apricale hosts a number of cultural events, culminating in the theatre festival in August. Despite the rural setting, the lively coastal resorts Bordighera and Ventimiglia are only 25 minutes down the road. Sanremo and the French towns of Menton, Nice and Monte Carlos can be reached within the hour.
